Headteacher's latest Blog and welcome

Selby High School is not just another school; we are a thriving, successful, vibrant and energetic community demonstrating a common purpose - to ensure the very best for each and every one of our students.

Our GCSE results speak for themselves, the best in Selby. In 2013 we were in the top 18% of all schools in England!

In addition, in 2014 the number of students achieving 5A*- A was 50% above what was an already an extremely challenging target. This is a fabulous achievement against a backdrop of falling pass rates and higher grade boundaries.

We are striving for excellence in all that we do and the work we have undertaken, in moving the school forward, has been acknowledged and praised by both Ofsted, the SSAT and HMI. Our academic achievements have resulted in the DfE granting the school a double specialism status
