Welcome to Selby High School
Selby High School is not just another school; we are a thriving, successful, vibrant and energetic community demonstrating a common purpose - to ensure the very best for each and every one of our students. We are committed to enabling all our young people to develop into happy, tolerant and confident adults; treating others like they would wish to be treated themselves.
Our school community is friendly, but disciplined with our students understanding the value of hard work as the backbone of achieving success whilst embracing all that is best in respect of the new technologies. The progress our students make in English and mathematics is outstanding, together with being 11% above the national average.

The dates for examinations are based on a 'Common Timetable' strategy that awarding bodies abide by

Houses
In September 2005 Selby High School introduced a new pastoral house system of four Houses
