Selby High School is not just another school; we are a thriving, successful, vibrant and energetic community demonstrating a common purpose - to ensure the very best for each and every one of our students as this year's record results clearly indicate.
Our GCSE results speak for themselves, the best in both the school’s and Selby’s history; 10% above the national pass rate; firmly placing us in the top 18% of all schools in England with a 5A*-C figure including English and mathematics of 71%!
80% of students achieved the expected 3 levels progress in English, 76% in Maths and 81% in science, this progress is outstanding, together with being 12%, 24% and 22% respectively above the national average. 75% of students achieved A* - C in English, 82% in Maths & 73% in 2 Sciences. In addition,19% of students achieved 5A*- A. This is a fabulous achievement against a backdrop of falling pass rates and higher grade boundaries.
