£635 raised so far for Readathon 2014

Readathon 2014 has been a great success this year with the current total students have raised at £635 and it is still rising.

Year 7 and 8 students enjoyed 2 weeks dedicated to reading and activities surrounding this within their English lessons. Feedback from teachers and students alike has been very positive. We have awarded two separate prizes, courtesy of Mrs Cobb in the LRC; the first prize to Arran Lawrenson, who read the most books, and the second to Jack Hartman who raised an impressive £65.

Furthermore, students across the school took part in our Extreme Reading Competition. We have seen some wonderful entries and Bethan McNeil in year 7 was our most extreme and imaginative entry.

The English Department would like to thank students for all of their efforts in raising money for this excellent cause.
